All Red Spring Fling

All Red Spring Fling

Kristina wondered:
“Do you really want a photo of a gran? Well then, I have made the hat and the bag myself, the piece de resistance being my shopping bag which I don’t have with me today!
You think I was all in red? Wait till I open my coat! Down to the last detail! It’s spring now!”

Helene’s Pink Shoes

Helene’s Pink Shoes

“You like the neon pink shoes? I love them too! They are from New Zealand actually. One thinks of Sheep and Lamb when thinking of New Zealand right? But you know, the surprising thing was we couldn’t get a hold of any Lamb to eat! They export it all! So I bought these shoes as a souvenir instead. I may be old but there is still some life left in me! I want to wear neon pink, so I think, why not! Everything else on me is second-hand. And I did the nail art myself.”

POW! Helene Sällström was the name. And her family standing nearby nodded their approval.

Giraffe Hat Jeanette

Giraffe Hat Jeanette

Kick the week into the past! And kick-off into a fantastic weekend!
Here with British Jeanette whom we found brightening up Drottninggatan in Stockholm.

“Thank you for your wonderful inspiration – older people are only wallowing in their ‘own Bucket of Shit’ – they should be out their submerged in their own Bucket List instead of frigging feeling sorry for life’s wrong-doings!  haha.. I mean look at me I’m wearing a giraffe hat! And have written a book!”

Way to go Jeanette we say!

“People actually come up to me often telling me they like this jacket. And so do I! Why should I wear black just because I’m older? So 3 years ago I bought this jacket. And it makes me and others so happy, I feel so happy when I put it on.”
Thank you Ewa, for spreading happiness.

I like being 98

I like being 98

This tells the story of Evelyn, 98 years old and going out of her way to help her neighbour. She says: “I’m on earth, if I’m here I should contribute. Shouldn’t we all? And not just think of ourselves?”
We hope you and your friends will be as inspired as we were. Check out the video here:

Woman extraordinaire!

Woman extraordinaire!

We stopped Ulrika Steiner for her beautifully colored outfit and told her about The Agist project whereupon she answered:

“I believe women in the generation before were not as daring in their style. My generation (in our 60’s now), we have had careers, and been in positions of decision making and are more empowered, and so, strong women that we are, we dare to wear powerful outfits and strong colors!

And so you should! Ulrika, 64 and looking fabulous!

Lolita

Lolita

Amazing lady sporting the “Lolita” style!
She looked like she could be out of a Manga cartoon.

Special occasion? “No, everyday is special, I’m just on a Sunday stroll with my family in Stockholm.”

We thought that was beautifully put. Everyday is special.

Make the most of it. Wear what you wanna wear.
No matter your age.

DIY – Do It Yourself

DIY – Do It Yourself

Do it yourself – a new trend? Nope. Something the mature generation could teach us a thing or two about. Here’s a man clad in his own leather apparel. Nice, durable and trendy.
